Why you should attend? The focus of this summit is on planning, designing, justifying and implementing energy secure and resilient microgrid designs. Topics will include: case examples, lessons learned, security and resilience metrics, economics and other benefits, design methods and tools, optimization, controls, physical and cyber security and integration with utility systems and associated research, development, test and evaluation needs.

Who should attend? Military and civilian decision makers, project managers, planners, engineers, researchers and other stakeholders interested in learning about designing microgrids for both defense energy and civilian energy security and resiliency applications. This summit is designed to bring together a variety of perspectives from the wide variety of stakeholders and practitioners in the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, national laboratories, universities, civilian communities, utilities, regulators, and industry to understand, explore and address the plethora of secure and resilient microgrid design challenges.
