Ken Cheung

Science & Technology Director


Dr. Cheung is Oceanit’s Science & Technology Director; he is responsible for developing and incubating new and disruptive technologies, with the goal of transitioning or commercializing R&D in the areas of RADAR, acoustics, directed energy, advanced materials, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence. He has more than 20 years of experience with technology development, management, and business development. 

Dr. Cheung received his Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering; in 2000 he was licensed to practice civil engineering in the State of Hawaii; and, in 2002, he became a founding member of Hoana Medical, Inc. – a leader in Intelligent Medical Vigilance when it was launched as Oceanit’s first spinoff. 

Founded in 1985, Oceanit is a self-funded “Mind to Market” company that produces home-grown research, development and engineering that employs over 160 scientists, engineers and professionals, providing innovative solutions in the fields of aerospace, engineering, information technology and life sciences.
