Mr. Wexel has led the Army’s Utility Privatization (UP) Program from the Pentagon since 2007. The Army has privatized 154 utility systems in the U.S., leveraging private financing and expertise to recapitalize utility services for more efficient and resilient support to mission, Soldiers, and Families. Mr. Wexel provides oversight for UP contracts valued at more than $20 billion. Mr. Wexel worked for the Navy for 22 years and the past 11 years at Army headquarters. As a professional engineer he has worked extensively with utilities and energy management, environmental and laboratory operations, and contracting.
