George Sey Jr., PE attended Pennsylvania State University (State College and Great Valley) earning a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2004, and a M.E. in Systems Engineering in 2011 respectively. George became employed by PECO, an Exelon company, in 2006 as a distribution electric dispatcher. Throughout the
four years of invaluable experience that followed in the Operations Control Center, he performed and led troubleshooting firsthand in various emergent scenarios of the distribution system.
In 2010, George transitioned from the Operations Control Center to the position of Distribution Capacity Planning Engineer within Central Engineering at PECO headquarters. While in this position, he has been involved in numerous performance analyses and load management studies of the distribution system throughout the PECO service territory. The development of projects to maintain adequate system capacity based on seasonal loading profiles and load growth of the distribution system, system performance/maintenance initiatives, etc. were a regular occurrence within his position. George has also been the primary technical presenter of his engineering group in regards to customer interfacing and utility-interactive distributed generation system requirements over the past few years. Effective Jan. 2017, George became the Lead Engineer of a newly established distributed energy resource (DER) Integration Team for the entire PECO service territory.
